Happy Lighting Day!

Tromilux Lighting Day
Today, the 21st of October, is the day of Enlightenment. Do you know why?

It was on this day in 1879 that Thomas Edison made history by inventing an incandescent light bulb that glowed for 48 hours straight in his laboratory in New Jersey.

It was a lamp that lasted longer and had a higher quality than previous attempts and models. It then marks the beginning of commercial lighting, Thomas Edison is recognized as the father of Enlightenment and this day became, from then on, known as World Enlightenment Day.

This innovation replaced gas lighting and revolutionized the world of Lighting forever.
